The Brief
- Create a new mobile app
- Use full UX design process to define and design core
functions and overall product
architecture
- Ensure travellers with a gluten allergy are able to
experience international cousine safely
- Able to explain the dietary requirements and allergy information in
different languages
- Educate individuals about gluten allergy and Celiac disease
- Very easy and simple to use in stressful
situations
- Focus on navigation, usability, and product
value
The Problem
- Promote awareness of gluten allergy and Celiac disease and the
consequences to anyone suffering from
this condition
- Ability to explain this allergy in any situation without
the need of speaking local language
- Create a strong understanding between the travellers and locals while
ordering food
- Reduce stress and fear that is preventing individuals from
being able to experience
local cousine on the travels (where it be in restaurants, pubs, markets,
food stalls, etc.)
- Being able to explain what an individual can and cannot
eat
- Create a travel companion that is available in offline
mode
- Must be quick and easy to use on the go
- Incorporate visuals for people who may not be literate
- Promote freedom to experiment and experience travels without
worries about food and
limitations
The Solution
The GF Travel mobile app acts as a travel companion for
individuals who suffer from gluten and do not fully
experience their travels due to their fear of trying the local cousine.
Incorporating the full UX design process, this app has a quick and
easy feature
that
illustrates what gluten allergy and what the consequences of eating gluten are in many
languages. It
also
has a pictorial feature of what an individual can or cannot eat to make it
easier while ordering
food.
GF Travel creates an effortless channel between travellers with
gluten allergy and
local people on the go and in offline mode.
