The Brief
- Create a responsive design for desktop and mobile devices
- Re-design the identity of the existing website
- Refine visual elements and evolve the tone of voice
- Promote Generation Change organisation itself and their work
- Engage their target audience and increase their social
media presence
- Act as the go-to website for access to free resources that enable their
target audience to adopt,
recognise and spread social change
- Promote youth social action and help to grow this movement
The Problem
- Overall website navigation needs re-design
- Find out more about the work of Generation Change is unclear
- "About Us" section is just one long page with lots of text
- Access to Resources requires more logical solution and more efficient
navigation for target
audience
- User Journeys needs to be quick and easy without confusion
- "Impact Accelerator" course section lacks interaction and coherence
- Events section needs to be added
- Lack of engagement through social media and newsletter
The Solution
Generation Change has now its new face through a responsive
design for desktop, tablet and mobile.
With
a fresh pair of eyes, the existing interface was re-designed in order to
promote Generation
Change as a striking youth social action organisation that differs from the rest.
The overall
website navigation has improved by a large amount and “About Us” section was
re-designed.
“Resources” and “Course” pages were completely redefined.
Events, newsletter pages were added
and social media presence was enhanced.
The final prototype was received very well by the
client.
I hope that the new site will bring more traffic to Generation Change website,
create more
impact and social action.
